The research of the department of integrated sensor system focuses on the development of sensors, relevant materials, and integration of sensors in an application environment. An integral part of sensor design is modelling and simulation of the materials ranging from the mesoscale to the device level. The centre for modelling and simulation has key expertise in magnetic materials.

Role in project

PhD student 10 will join DUK and receive training in modelling and simulation. The primary focus of DC 10's research will be to establish a mesoscopic model for thermal hysteresis and optimize the properties of thermomagnetic materials. DUK will also host PhD student 8, providing training in the development of AI models utilizing DFT-generated data, and PhD student 9, offering advanced instruction in AI-assisted data analysis techniques.
